Generally, all measured dofs are utilized in vector correlation studies. However, some dofs will always be located at nodes for some of the modes of the system. Use of these dofs will tend to degrade the orthogonality check.

Several cases are presented to show the degradation of the orthogonality matrix when all dofs are used, especially those located close to nodes of modes. More selective picking of dofs yields better orthogonality results as illustrated by the test cases presented.
